A flower in my garden.

Apparently I’m doing a bug series now. I call this one Fly on Shasta Daisy. I couldn’t believe he stayed there while I took the picture.

Bastard was eating my roses.

I have these giant, overgrown climbing roses. They need major work, but it’s so bad I don’t know where to start. Fortunately for the roses, they are pretty good for cutting. Otherwise I’d be tempted to rip the whole darn plant out.

The roses are opening, too.

Our heatwave has given the summer flowers a kick in the ass. Here’s one of my peonies. I love the color of these.

This is the wisteria. I wish you could smell it. It’s amazing. I also wish it was a better picture. I think I like my close ups better.

And we’re back to flowers from my yard. Today – bleeding hearts.

Today’s featured Backyard Flower of the Day – Lilacs. I love lilacs.

We moved into our house two Christmases ago. Last spring I had a lot of fun seeing what came up out of the ground. I guess I missed some things. This year I found two lilac bushes that had been hidden by the shed. They didn’t get any flowers, but I’m hoping now that they’re out in the sun, they’ll get healthier. Then, today, I found these daffodils. The flowers are tiny compared to normal daffodils. I absolutely adore them.
