Today was a dreary, rainy day, and I really didn’t feel like taking any pictures.

I adore pretty little pieces of mismatched servingware.  This was a wedding present and is pretty much all I have.  I don’t really have any place to put it, and I’m not allowed to buy any more furniture until we finish some of the work on the house.  (Someone doesn’t want to have to move big heavy china cabinets around.  Hmph.)  But someday I’ll get to scour all the antique stores for perfect pieces.  Someday.

The woods and creek again.

I forgot how tedious this project can be when the weather’s crummy and we don’t get outside.  Today was freezing, but sunny. I braved the icy steps to go outside and take a picture of the creek.  It’s not a stellar picture.  (It’s hard to take a stellar picture when the wind is blowing so hard that your eyes are watering.)  But, it’s a more interesting subject.

I think the air bubble on the side of this loaf is cute.  I think I need to get out of the house more when I start thinking of my bread as cute.

Did you know they make pretty work gloves for women?  Unfortunately the ones that fit me the best were some of the not quite as pretty ones.

This is the ceiling in my kitchen.  It’s been this way for almost two years.  It’s a good thing I’m such a patient person.

I’m not thrilled with the composition of this picture.  I was trying to hurry before the bubbles popped.  I still missed the good ones.  So all I have is a mediocrely composed picture with a mediocre subject.

At least the coffee was good.

I made finger paints out of water and cornstarch and food coloring so he’d have something to play with while his big sister used the real paints.  I don’t think he quite understood, though.

For Carrie…  The only snow left in our yard.
